NATURAL HISTORY PHOTOGRAPHER : Steve Bloom

For more than ten years, photographer Steve Bloom travelled all over the world, roaming through the jungles of Borneo, the African savannahs, and the frozen banks of Antarctica to assemble this dazzling collection of photographs of animals in their environments.

Well worth a look – stunning photography – of special interest are his outdoor exhibitions.

Sensor & Sensibility (Understanding Sensor Issues)
This is an excellent article written by Michael Reichmann on the LUMINOUS LANDSCAPE web site, in which he explains some of the issues relating to sensor size, sensor type, and pixel count. The LUMINOUS LANDSCAPE web site, as a whole, contains an almost endless list of articles, reports, and product reviews aimed at the very highest end of the imagining scene. Overseas travel groups are organised by Michael to exotic locations such as the Antartica, Africa, China etc., subsequent reports include details of the trips, example images and relevant findings with regards to the equipment being used (normally Large Format and Medium Format of the highest quality). By searching through the various archives you will almost certainly come across content that will be of interest to you, be that travel, equipment or technique related. It's well worth the time spent browsing through this site, and well worth adding to your 'favourites', as this kind of information is pretty thin on the ground, and it's all here free-of-charge for you to view.

RPS Digital Imaging Group
This is a link to the Royal Photographic Society’s “D.I.G.” Folio Page, on which you can view the most recent 75 images submitted for comment by members of the group. Images are added on a regular basis and it’s well worth adding this site to your ‘favourites’ so that you can pop by every now and then to view the latest submissions and read the variety of comments.

Steve’s DigiCams
An excellent source of reviews and reports on all things ‘digital’ (etc). If you are looking to buy a new camera, or upgrade existing equipment, here you will find all the information you need to compare products and performance.

Beechbrook.com
This is the home of ‘PicturesToExe’ slideshow presentations. There is a list of over 100 slideshows that you can download to your computer to view at your leisure. Broadband is recommended as the majority of these slideshows are quite large. The slideshows are created by members of the PicturesToExe Forum, most shows are very good (?), and new ones are added fairly regularly.
