FREE PHOTOSHOP ACTION

I have created a new Photoshop Action that will automatically re-size your images for you
to 1920x1080 and convert them to sRGB colour space.
The Action is available free of charge to anyone wishing to use it ~
and is of particular use to those of you who might be struggling with the process of re-size their images manually.

PLEASE NOTE: - This Action will only work in 'PHOTOSHOP' ~
they will not work in ELEMENTS

Click on the link below to download the Actions.

Click here to download the Actions

Some browsers, such as Google Chrome, will automatically download the file to a pre-specified folder
(eg: a folder called "DOWNLOADS")
Other browsers will ask you what to do with, and where to store, the file.
If that is the case, do the following :-

Choose to save the file (not 'run')( it's just 1KB in size) to a folder of your choosing.
~

What to do when you've got it :-

Having downloaded the file, open up Photoshop, and access the Action Panel.
( to access the Actions Panel, click on WINDOW & select ACTIONS ~ ( or press Alt+f9 )

Click on the small icon in the upper right hand corner of the Actions Panel
and select 'Load Actions'. Browse to the folder where you have saved the downloaded Action
and choose the file called "1920x1080-ReSizing.atn", and click 'Load'.

A folder (Actions Group) called "1920x1080-ReSizing" will now become visible in your Actions Panel.

Click on the small arrowhead to the left of the word "ReSizing", and the 1920x1080 Action itself will appear below.

Click on this to highlight it, and then click the 'play button'
(the 'play button' is the small right-facing arrowhead at the bottom of the Actions panel).

Your image will be automatically resized,
with any additional area (if any) beyond the image boundaries filled with black.
AND ~ your image will be converted to sRGB colour space (if that was not previously the case)

NOTE:- If the image you wish to resize is currently made up of more than one layer,
save it as a 'PSD' first (as a back-up).
